strong use cases:
- printing extremely fine detail
- transparency of clear resin is key to design
- sheer strength of resin is critical
- significant variables in setting up g-code for filament printing is prohibitive
- prototyping, creating a component to connect different media, printing a master design to create a mold from (also use cases critical to filament printing)
not useful if:
- range of colors (without post-processing) is required
- time commitment including post-processing is prohibitive
- scale/ build volume needs to be as large as possible
- expense of resin is prohibitive
